Nikkei May Rise as Concerns About Borrowing Costs Ease


2347 GMT — Japanese stocks may rise as concerns about more Fed tightening ease following slowing U.S. jobs growth data. Nikkei futures open at 32740 on the SGX, up 345 points from Friday and up 835 points from Thursday, after U.S. Treasury yields fell sharply on Friday. Japanese markets were closed Friday for a national holiday. USD/JPY is at 149.43, compared with 150.46 as of Thursday’s Tokyo stock market close. Earnings are in focus.
