VAUXHALL are set to launch a new trim for their Corsa EV – which will see its price-tag slashed by over £5,000.
The upcoming Corsa Yes edition, coming on April 17, will boast an “exciting electric driving experience with head-turning style” – all for a price that’s cheaper than the MG 4 and the electric Fiat 500.

The hatchback will offer up to 221 miles of range on a single charge, which Vauxhall claim can be fast-charged from 20% to 80% in just 30 minutes using a DC charger.
What’s more, the car brand have partnered with Tesco to offer buyers a year’s free charging at supermarkets across the country.
It also promises a plethora of features, including 16in alloy wheels, sculpted sports seats, a 7.0in digital instrument cluster and a 10in touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
There’s also automatic LED headlights, automatic wipers, climate control, rear parking sensors and keyless entry and start.
Added tech will give drivers access to lane-keeping assistance, speed-limit sign recognition, cruise control and automatic emergency braking.
Listed at £26,895, the Corsa Yes slashes the EV model’s entry price by £5,550 – making it one of the cheapest electric cars UK motorists can currently buy.
However, Vauxhall won’t hold that mantle for very long, as rival brands are preparing their own affordable EVs.
That includes the new-look Dacia Spring, which could fetch as little as £16,000 and is ready to hit showrooms this spring.
Tesla recently revealed their own entry-level, affordable EV – some six years after Elon Musk first promised the car’s release.
Little is known about the sub-£20,000 motor, although reports claim Tesla has told suppliers to prepare for mass production of an EV rumoured to be a “compact crossover” model in time for mid-2025.
Elsewhere with Vauxhall, the car maker announced it’s set to resurrect the iconic Frontera model after a 20-year hiatus, but with a radical new look.
