BEAUMONT — Beaumont police say an auto-pedestrian crash involving a child led to a shooting that injured two people at Liberia Park in the 2300 block of Ollie Street.
BPD Officers responded to Liberia Park at 4:13 p.m. in reference to an auto pedestrian involving a child.
Police say while officers were in route, callers advised that shots were fired.
Police say a preliminary investigation has revealed that as a result of the auto pedestrian incident, a disturbance ensued which led to shots being fired.
Two individuals were struck by gunfire and were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, investigators say.
The child was also transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition, according to police.
