Streaming Ratings, Week of April 7: The White Lotus Remains No.1

Viewers were not ready to check out of The White Lotus as it remained in first place for the second week in a row, according to Nielsen’s Top 10 Overall Streaming chart.

Despite the season finale airing the previous week, viewers were still intrigued by Max’s dark dramedy, which followed the exploits of the wealthy visitors and staff at a fictional luxury global resort, as it had 1.251 billion viewing minutes for the week of April 7.

According to Nielsen Streaming Content Ratings, only three titles had more than 1 billion viewing minutes for the week, with Netflix having the most titles on the chart, with four led by the latest season of the sci-fi series Black Mirror, which landed in second place with 1.084 billion viewing minutes.

The Adults 18-49 demo made up 69% of Black Mirror’s audience and was a favorite with Black and Asian viewers, making up 22% and 8% of the total audience, respectively.

The medical series Grey’s Anatomy was one of two non-original titles to land in the chart, and it was the only one with shared distribution rights, landing in third place with 1.022 billion minutes viewed for Hulu and Netflix.

In fourth place was Paramount+’s 1923 with 949 million viewing minutes, followed by Netflix’s Pulse with 923 million minutes viewed.

The bottom half of the chart consisted of a new entrant, the Hulu drama The Handmaid’s Tale, which logged 921 million viewing minutes at No. 6. Disney+’s Bluey landed at No. 7 with 890 million minutes viewed, followed by Netflix’s Love on the Spectrum U.S.  with 874 million viewing minutes.
