Abbott India Ltd.(up 2.35 per cent), Biocon Ltd.(up 1.72 per cent), Sanofi India Ltd.(up 1.53 per cent), Lupin Ltd.(up 0.7 per cent) and Granules India Ltd.(up 0.42 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Natco Pharma Ltd.(down 2.71 per cent), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.85 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 1.25 per cent), Gland Pharma Ltd.(down 1.13 per cent) and Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.(down 1.06 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.5 per cent at 19086.75 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 59.75 points at 22702.5, while the BSE Sensex was up 212.35 points at 74896.05.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Vedanta, NMDC Steel and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Emkay Global, DC Infotech, GKW Ltd, Arvee Laboratories and Vedanta hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Melstar Info, Gopal Snacks, Keerti Knowledge, 3rd Rock MultiMedia and GIR Natureview hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
