LAS VEGAS (KSNV) —
The 13th annual Las Vegas Science and Technology Festival wrapped up at The Expo inside the World Market Center.
The free event included over 60 community organizations, interactive booths, entertainment, ground-breaking technology, and more.
Organizers say for the past 13 years, this festival has become the largest educational event in Nevada, helping people celebrate science and technology in our community.
“Having an event like this allows lifelong learners to be able to learn more about their community and appreciate it better, but then also, we’re inspiring that next generation of scientists and thinkers and artists because we know that we want them to stay right here in Southern Nevada with us and bring their skills and their creativity to our community to make us all better and stronger,” said Kate Porter with the Las Vegas Natural History Museum.
Organizers also gave out a $1,000 award to the Clark County School District campus with the most students and families at Saturday’s expo.
