Sky TV is dishing out MacBooks at a surprisingly affordable price – don't miss out

Treating yourself to a shiny new MacBook Air is never going to be cheap but Sky has launched a new deal that definitely makes things feel a lot more affordable than walking into your local Apple Store. The firm, which is best known for its TV and broadband offerings, currently has a tempting discount on these sought-after slimline PCs which offers the chance to grab one for just £22 per month.

That’s a saving of £3 off its previous price and that’s not all. Pop the MacBook Air in your shopping basket and you can also then add a 100MB SIM for your phone without paying a penny extra. That means you can hotspot that new laptop and get email and web access on the move. If 100MB isn’t enough, Sky is also offering 5GB for £8 per month or 25GB for £12.

It’s a pretty mighty deal that you can find below.

Just a quick word of warning. Before you tap that buy button there are some things you need to be aware of. Firstly this deal is for the MacBook Air M2 model in the Midnight colour only. As you can read in our full MacBook Air M2 review, this is a top-rated machine but it has just been superseded by a faster M3 version. That all-new M3 model can also power dual screens and gets an epic 18-hour battery life.

Sky’s deal is also over a 48-month contract which means you’ll need to be happy to keep it for that length of time. You can switch to a different model after 36 months if you want something new but you’ll need to start a new rolling contract.

The total price over four years – including a £2 upfront fee – is £1,058. That price is £59 more than buying directly from Apple – you will, of course, need £999 in your bank account though rather than Sky’s cheaper instalments.

If that’s got you thinking about treating yourself then here’s what’s included on the MacBook Air M2.

This device gets the latest slimline design and striking 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display with True Tone technology. There’s also a fast M2 processor made by Apple, easy charging thanks to a MagSafe connection and long battery life.

A decent keyboard, Force Touch trackpad and fingerprint scanner also feature along with two USB-C ports and a headphone socket.
