Selena Hriz Selected as Associate CIO of Enterprise Service Management

IT Services announced Selena Hriz as the new associate chief information officer for enterprise service management on Monday, May 22. Hriz will be responsible for building a technology service strategy that enables students, faculty and staff to accomplish their goals with ease by supporting relationships with campus partners, maturing customer-enabled IT services and facilitating enterprise information technology strategy.

“I am thrilled to add Selena to our leadership team. Through her diligent leadership of project management, she has demonstrated her commitment to campus and the advancement of our service mission,” said Chief Information Officer Steve Krogull. “As someone who is customer-centric and relationship-oriented, I am confident that she will excel in her new position as ACIO of enterprise management.”

For the last two years, Hriz has served as the director of project management. She has led the project management office in collaborating with other campus departments to meet federal audit and compliance standards and improve campus information infrastructure at the university. Hriz began working at the U of A in June 2019 as a project manager for IT Services. Prior to 2019, she worked at Walmart in various roles such as senior business analyst, agile coach and product owner.

“This promotion symbolizes a significant milestone in my professional journey, and I am honored to take on the responsibility of guiding and inspiring others,” Selena said. “I look forward to driving customer-focused technology services that enable student success, drive excellence in research and empower our employees.”

Selena is pursuing her master’s degree in human resources and workforce development at the U of A. She received her bachelor’s degree in communication from the university in 2008.
