pink-hued sculptural wall emerges as casa banderas’ west-facing facade in mexico

CASA BANDERAS by REA STUDIO pops up in Nuevo Vallarta

Casa Banderas by Rea Studio emerges as the reutilization of a previous, unrealized architectural proposal, adapted harmoniously to its new location in Nuevo Vallarta, Nayarit, Mexico. The design team rediscovers the potential of the residential project within an entirely new setting. The design forms minimal spaces that evoke a sense of refuge and privacy, seamlessly merging with the vibrant tropical context. Strategically placed openings and screens respond to the interplay of natural illumination and prevailing winds inherent to the region, achieving a delicate balance between interior and exterior realms.

minimal finishes set a backdrop for personalized living spaces

A captivating 8-meter-high screen wall on the west-facing facade adds a sculptural dimension. The integration of indoor and outdoor areas, such as a private pool, and garden on the ground floor terrace creates an oasis of relaxation. The design team at Rea Studio focuses on the connection of the built form with nature infusing greenery within the home. Meticulously chosen materials and finishes, including natural stuccos, neutral-toned porcelain, and uniform-grain carpentry, set a platform for personalization, allowing inhabitants to shape a space reflecting their unique identity. Casa Banderas’ design offers an adaptable, and budget-conscious solution to contemporary housing.
