Pacific storms were expected to continue to bring rain, flooding and towering waves to the West Coast into the weekend.

Pacific storms will continue to bring rain, flooding and towering waves to the West Coast Friday and into the weekend following evacuation warnings and injuries reported at beaches.

Millions of people along the West Coast were under high-surf warnings and advisories Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service. Meteorologists and local leaders urged people to keep away from beaches and the shoreline.
