The deals will be available for all customers exclusively via the McDonald’s App on bank holiday Monday, 6th May.

Until May 19, customers can also get double points on new and improved classic beef burgers.

This Monday, the iconic Breakfast Roll will be available for £1.99, and fast food fans can pick up six Chicken McNuggets  for half the usual price at just £1.39.

It comes as the fast food giant has shaken up how it cooks and prepares classic burgers including its cheeseburger, Big Mac and Quarter Pounder with cheese.

The changes began rolling out to all 1,450 stores last month and customers have been spotted sampling shiny new burgers across the UK.

McDonald’s has changed their lettuce, buns, onions and burgers for five popular burgers to make them even tastier for customers.

The UK is not the first to experience the reinvented classics and the new burgers are already in restaurants in Australia and the United States

The burgers are now served with a new buttery, brioche-style recipe for a soft, pillow-like texture, then freshly toasted for the perfect golden brown outer crunch.

When you order one of these burgers in branches you might notice the new buns are much shinier than the old ones and much toastier.

The second major change isn’t actually to the burgers but the grill they are cooked on.

‘What is this saucery-‘ McDonald’s fans wonder as they spot VITAL change to their BBQ dip & say it ‘tastes out of date’

McDonald’s grills now have a tighter sear, resulting in hotter and juicier beef patties.

This means the burger should still be nice and hot when you reach the table or car

The white onions inside the new burgers have also had an upgrade.

Instead of adding the onions once the burger is cooked with the rest of the salad, McDonald’s is adding onions onto the patty whilst it’s still on the grill

The onions now get a chance to soak up the meaty juices and soften.

Since the burgers are now hotter you should get some lovely gooey cheese in your burgers.

The American-style cheese is guaranteed to ooze over the sides, creating an even silkier texture.

The final change coming to McDonald’s burgers is specific to the fans of the classic Big Mac.

Any lettuce added to McDonald’s burgers will now be on a strict temperature timeline.

Lettuce will only be allowed to stay out of the fridge for up to 30 minutes, whereas in the past it could be left out for longer.
