MIAMISBURG, Ohio (Dayton Business Journal) — A Miamisburg-based high-technology company was recently awarded a $1 million contract to fund the development of a new and improved product.
AFWERX, the innovation arm for the Department of the Air Force, doled a Small Business Innovation Research, or SBIR, contract to Cornerstone Research Group (CRG). This funding will support the development of more sustainable and affordable maintainer fabricated enclosure kits, or MFEKs, to improve fleet readiness for the U.S. Air Force.
A MFEK is a prefabricated walk-in enclosure, akin to a pop-up tent, that rapidly enables maintainers to perform sustainment on the Air Force’s current fleet of combat aircraft.
This news comes off the heels of CRG’s parent company, Rushlight Assets breaking ground on their new headquarters in February in Miamisburg. The $9.5 investment is located at 8821 Washington Church Road.
CRG is a high-technology company delivering products and services to aerospace, defense and industrial customers for more than 25 years.
