WASHINGTON — Many advanced technologies supporting innovations tied to science, space exploration and other fields have military applications, making it imperative for businesses to address national security concerns, Thea Rozman Kendler, a top export control official in the Biden administration, told Nikkei Asia in an interview.
“Today’s advanced technologies are quintessential dual-use items,” said Kendler, former assistant secretary for export administration at the U.S. Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security.
