Disney Plus password crackdown date announced – and you won't have long to act

Disney has announced the month when it plans to crackdown on password sharing in 2024 – and won’t not have long to consider buying a new subscription.

It comes as the streaming and movie giant said in 2023 it would be making sure you can’t share passwords in 2024 with family members or friends – similar steps taken by Netflix recently.

But according to his appearance on CNBC, he claims there will be a full rollout in September 2024.

Talking to CNBC about the steps he was taking to help the business become more profitable, he said: “Password sharing is something else,” he said. “In June, we’ll be launching our first real foray into password sharing in just a few markets, but then it will grow significantly with a full rollout in September.”
