David Domoney’s cheap tool needed to ‘make a dramatic difference’ when cleaning your patio

Patios quickly get dirty, but contrary to popular belief, you don’t always need fancy products to clean them.

With spring well and truly here, more people will be spending time outside. Lots of Britons may want to give their garden an overhaul to make it more pleasant for the summer months. This could include cleaning furniture or freshening up the patio area.

Previously on ITV’s This Morning, David Domoney shared with viewers the best way to clean a patio.

The expert focused on the various brushes he likes to use when cleaning his patio.

He said: “I’m going to give you some hints and tips on how you can look after your own patio.

“To start off I have two brushes for my patio, a cheap, soft one that just takes away a lot of the surface stuff.”

While giving his patio a sweep, he said: “It doesn’t take anything deep but it cleans off the outer bits.”

The 61-year-old revealed he uses a soft brush to remove any dirt on the surface of the patio.

To get rid of deeper marks, however, he will use a stiff broom. “I then have a stiff broom, as we call it, with bristles, it’s got two ends on this one,” the expert continued.

“This will actually take some of the… old moss off the surface as well.”

Purchasing various brushes does not need to cost a lot of money and can be used to achieve different results.
