Brabus Claims Perfection With 917-HP Mercedes-AMG S63 E Performance

Key Takeaways

  • The Brabus 930 upgrade boosts AMG S63 E Performance to 917 hp and 1,114 lb-ft of torque.
  • Exterior upgrades include carbon fiber aero elements, new wheels, and SportXtra suspension.
  • Cabin choices between black or Sky Blue themes with high-quality materials.

Brabus has introduced its latest application of its Brabus 930 upgrade. Based on the top-spec Mercedes-Benz S-Class – the new AMG S63 E Performance – the German tuner calls its latest product vollkommen, or perfection when translated to English. With all the exterior, interior, and performance upgrades we’re about to discuss, there’s a tinge of truth to that.

Using the Brabus’ PowerXtra B40E-930 performance kit, the already powerful electrified setup of the AMG S63 E Performance gets a bump to 917 horsepower (930 metric hp) and 1,114 lb-ft of torque, a healthy power-up from the stock 791 hp and 1,055 lb-ft of twist. The new power figures align with the Brabus-tuned Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance introduced last year. Still, this is not the most potent Brabus – that distinction goes to the 986-hp Rocket 1000.

Exterior, Wheels, & Chassis Upgrades

The Brabus-tuned AMG S63 E Performance can sprint from 0-62 mph in 3.2 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 180 mph. To handle all that speed and power, the sedan gets a SportXtra suspension module to lower up to 0.4 inches. The wheels have been upgraded to new 22-inch Brabus Monoblock ZM “Platinum Edition” CNC-machined forged wheels with a center disc and 20-spoke design.

Typical to Brabus creations and beyond the logos, the AMG S63 E Performance receives a slew of carbon fiber aero elements all over the body. The front spoiler has raised side flaps to reduce lift, while the side air intakes work in concert with the front apron for optimal cooling. At the rear end, the diffuser highlights the Brabus sports exhaust system’s four 76mm carbon/titanium tailpipes. The subtle rear spoiler completes the look.

Black Or Blue?

There’s a laundry list of upgrades for the Brabus 930’s cabin, but the main choice is between black or Sky Blue for the color theme. The black theme gets a shell-shaped quilting on the seats, while the blue version has a diamond design. Whichever you choose, Brabus promises high-quality materials (mostly carbon fiber and leather) to amplify the luxurious feel inside the cabin, plus a bunch of Brabus emblems found all over the cabin.

The Brabus 930 AMG S63 E Performance is quite pricey, with the Sky Blue version having a price tag of 479,889 euros (before taxes) or around $523,000 at the current exchange rates. The black version is a bit more expensive, at 489,765 euros, or about $534,000.
