Remember when most people dreamed of owning an automatic car? That’s just out of fashion, the new thing in the vehicle world is autonomous cars. XPeng: the new promising company
Autonomous cars have always been the goal for many companies and Tesla (U.S.A) was one of the most popular companies to work on them, but a new company from China is catching the attention of everybody, XPeng.
Xpeng is dedicated to the manufacturing of electric cars, but it is getting popular because of its intelligent cars with advanced technology. Their goal isn’t creating beautiful cars, they want to make it as efficient as if a highly developed computer was taking you on the road.
What is remarkable about this Chinese company is the capacity of creating original stuff. XPeng created its own chip, basically its own system, whereas companies like Tesla buy its technology from other companies like NVIDIA. This means the Chinese company is more autonomous than the American one, because they don’t depend on other companies to keep going with projects and they can test their ideas on their cars.
China traffic is crucial for AI
For the inclusion of AI in automatic cars, it has to be very tested and in difficult circumstances. It is not the same to test these automatic cars through a straight road and sell this system to the world because the AI won’t recognize dangers or specific driving situations. So, testing this on the Chinese traffic was the perfect choice as there you can experience many pedestrians and chaotic driving. This way the AI is more prepared to be used for real around the globe.
Can you believe what you have just read? Technology advances seem limitless when it comes to making the use of normal things we are already used to much easier. It is believed this new automatic car will mean the lowering of the number of accidents on the road, since humans tend to act according to our moods or we may not be able to react in an unexpected situation.
