LETHBRIDGE, AB – The provincial government is investing $20 million over five years towards the new Innovation Catalyst Grant.
The grant is set up to support graduates of Alberta’s science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) PhD and Master’s programs by helping them start up their own company.
The program awards up to $250,000 over two years to successful applicants, and connects them to technical mentorships, and access to labs at universities across Alberta.
Nate Glubish, Minister of Technology and Innovation, said, “Our investment in this program will create jobs, attract investment and strengthen Alberta’s tech and innovation ecosystem.”
