notafanboy, 9 minutes agoSo you keep saying.Bro, stop being an Xiaomi fanboy that keeps saying Xiaomi is best. Be an fanboy is fine. But don’t overhype it or keep saying everything is best. I am stating a fact that Xiaomi’s selfie, video, and software isn’t the best is entirely on my opinion. You need to acknowledge and accept it when other companies are better in certain areas

You don’t even know what you’re talking about. Obvious Scamsung fanboy is obvious. Stop posting your nonsensical comments already, you are polluting this website.

YT React 2 Gadgets, 40 minutes agoWell maybe your way of seeing it as an Xiaomi fanboy can be good. I will wait for reviews and … moreI hope the S22 Series will come with 65W charging support. S21 Ultra onmy reaches 40% in 30 minutes in many testing, which is unacceptable for me, but good enough for most people and better than Pixel or Iphone. My current smartphone pick :

1. Best midrange : Poco X3 Pro or Redmi Note 10 Pro (it depends on you whether you want Flagship performance and software or AMOLED and 108 MP)

2. Best Flagship killer : Poco F3 (it is better than the Redmi K40 Pro and Mi 11i. The main shoots at the same 12 Mp as the 108 MP, and has larger pixels size individually and doesn’t suffer the overheating issue of Snapdragon 888)

3. Best Affordable Flagship : Mi 11 (In Indonesia, it costs around $660, at the same price as S20 fe and Vivo X60 Pro (non plus). S21 costs at $850. S21 Ultra costs $1200. Mate 40 Pro costs $900. And for that price, it is an mind blowing device for its money apart from tge overheating issues and the Okay cameras.

4. Best Ultra Flagship :

S21 Ultra (one of the best screens, s pen support, one of the best software supports and experience, the second most versatile cameras in the market, the second best video on a phone, one of the top 5 cameras in an smartphone, good design, premium feel and looking, good haptics and speakers)

Mi 11 Ultra (one of the best screens, , one of the best software supports and experience, the fourth most versatile cameras in the market, the third best video on a phone, one of the top 5 cameras in an smartphone, good design, premium feel and looking, BEST Smartphone for haptics and speakers)

Well maybe your way of seeing it as an Xiaomi fanboy can be good. I will wait for reviews and camera comparisons to decide though. My Xiaomi Pocophone F1 is still rock solid now. But let me clear up your mind for a bit.

S Pen is an absolute win for Samsung as well as Software.

Haptics, xiaomi is way better. The integration is way better and the motor is very crispy.

Software, it is preferable and depends on people.

Software updates is better on One UI. One UI provides 3 years of updates and 4 years of security updates. While Xiaomi only provides 2 years of updates and 2 years of security updates. I can confirm that with my Poco F1, which ships with Android 8 at the Android 9 era, yet only gets up to Android 10. And the patch is at 2018 November. Only 2 years. Q3 2018 most phones are at Android 9, my poco ships with Android 8. My poco is running MIUI 12.

Xiaomi Software has lots of bloatwares (though you can uninstall them) and are slow to update. Miui 12.5 is taking too long to wait for the update.

Cameras, i would say nighttime photos and videos on Main cameras and periscope are better taken by Xiaomi. The sensor is way superior and larger than Samsung’s. Ultrawide lens at nighttime, Samsung wins. It has larger pixels and camera comparison shows. Daytime photos, Samsung and Xiaomi is an draw. Zoom, colours, look is better on Samsung. While Xiaomi wins at detail, noise, and bokeh. Their HDR and dynamic range is pretty much preferable. But videos is where Samsung is better. Samsung has much smoother lens transitions, less shift between lens, colours are consistent every lens, and also the shots (colours and HDR) are more consistent and doesn’t shift easily.

Xiaomi’s auto mode at night is awesome, but the night mode is behind samsung.

1. Night mode on selfie cam doesn’t do much

2. Night mode takes longer to process

3. Night mode photos has oil painting look

4. Night mode cannot be used again if the image is processing

5. If you exit the camera app while night mode is processing, the image will not be saved at all and the camera app will crash.

Xiaomi’s selfie camera is horrible. As well as Vivo, Oneplus, Realme and Oppo. Several reasons :

1. Beauty effect can’t be turned off completely.

2. No HDR on portrait mode

3. Image quality detoriates quickly in indoors

4. It is not very wide

5. Video is stuck on 1080p 30fps (WOW!)

6. Video quality (dynamics range, HDR, colours, exposure are off)

7. Inconsistent results (sometimes good sometimes bad) the colours and exposure shifts too easily between shots

8. Detail is bad at only 5 Mp (upscaled to 20 MP, which makes it even worse)

Xiaomi’s camera software is good now, but not great nor excellent. They need to work on :

1. Hdr consistency

2. Colours consistency

3. Detail and noise rendering

4. Video software

5. Night mode

6. Lens switching experience

Exynos and Snapdragon debate is close now. Sure, all snapdragons are 10% faster tham Exynos. But heat levels reach above 55°C. While exynos stays at 45° – 48°Cwith some throttling. Heat will destroy your phone’s components, especially battery and the glue on your phone. What is the point of super high power if the heat created ends up destroying your own phone?

Screens are pretty much a draw. Xiaomi has higher touch sampling (you can’t tell unless you point a slow motion cam at it), better brightness (you can’t tell), and 10 bit colours. While Samsung strikes back at their colours rendering, Wacomm digital pen support and LTPO panel.

Not every phone is perfect. But my pick is still S21 Ultra, S Pen, better heat management, better videos, better selfie camera and software is enough to make up for better haptics, superior performance, better battery tech, significantly faster charging, and better night photos.

Hm2 is a downgraded version of hm1. It is a smaller sensor and has smaller pixel size but apart from that it is basically the same as hm1. The actual output will depend on the software processing of the company but Xiaomi clearly believes the Hmx is better as they have used that for their more expensive phones. Of course some of photos especially in daylight might look better with the hm2 depending on your preferences and the image processing but based on pure technical specifications if it is weaker than the hm1 at least. Difficult to compare the hm2 exactly with the Hmx as Hmx is a bigger sensor but the hm2 has bigger pixels for binned photos so both have their advantages

I’d rather use a pen and a paper or pay triple the price as long as I don’t get a china brand. Bleah!

Only Samsung or Sony for me.

Because I have integrity and nothing is going to change my political views. Unlike this website who would do anything to get some clicks..

They’ll complain about Xiaomi bloatware (easily removable) and ads (can all be turned off)

But won’t mention about Samsung Ads Which can’t be removed unless you do the whole setup process again.

HM2 is the successor to HM1. Some of the pics taken are even better than Note 20 ultra despite being clicked on phones with lesser capable ISP.
