this table clad in psychedelic patterns explores the infinity mirror effect

near-infinite table #3 creates various reflections

artist mad king introduces the third collection of the ‘near infinite tables‘ productions series, exploring and playing with the infinity mirror effect. the square table board contains a painted one-way mirror — so-called spy mirror — at the top, that faces another coated mirror at the bottom, while the whole structure is standing on thin metal supports. it also features hand-sculpted and painted low polygon koi and fully programmable RGBW lights. the entire board is clad in PCB (printed circuit board) patterns that add a psychedelic touch to the furniture.

‘a very deliberate polished joyful psychedelia’

despite the highly technical aspects of its production, there is an inherent playfulness that carries throughout all of the studio‘s work, ‘a very deliberate polished joyful psychedelia.’ near-infinite table #3 takes shape as a square — without including the legs— with dimensions, 38″x38″x18″ tall and is constructed from maple, painted maple veneer, steel, frosted acrylic plexiglass, oneway mirror, mirror, glass, styrofoam, tempera, and enamel.

meanwhile, it includes fully programmable RGBW led lights and a boxer controller that can be adapted to any smart home setup. the low polygon koi are not fixed on the table so as to be moved around and placed in different positions.
