The Bobby Hotel in Nashville has this week announced the arrival of Hairy—the new resident dog at the luxury hotel. After followers of the hotel were asked to vote on rescue puppies from Nashville Humane Association earlier this week, little Hairy will now live at Bobby Hotel for the next year.
The 4-month-old Retriever Mix is “all puppy and an absolute hoot.” He’s a playful and adventurous little thing who loves hanging out with all the guests checking into Bobby Hotel.
Although Harry will act as furry friend in residence for the time being, the Bobby Hotel won’t be his forever home. Instead, he will be trained to become a service or therapy dog, where he will then be given a forever home with someone in need of his services.
Hairy’s arrival at Bobby Hotel marks the beginning of a brand new and ongoing resident dog ambassador program at the hotel. The program aims to help people in need of a service dog and plans to donate a fully trained pup every year.
The property will work with renowned dog trainer, Michele Boardman, who has over 25 years of experience in the industry. She has also worked with dogs for Animal Planet, Macy’s Spring Flower Show, and numerous films, TV, and live appearances.
The furry friend in residence is nothing new to Bobby Hotel—Sasha, who has been with the hotel for the past three years, has recently retired (and even had a retirement party!) and is now living with a crew member in her new forever home.
More information about Hairy and the resident dog ambassador program at the Bobby Hotel can be found on the official Bobby Hotel website. Nashville residents can also learn more about the adoption process at the Nashville Humane Society here.
