New Braunfels tech firm TaskUs files to go public – San Antonio Express-News

A New Braunfels-based international technology firm is making moves to go public.

TaskUs, Inc. filed forms with the Securities and Exchange Commission on April 12 outlining an initial public offering of company shares on the Nasdaq Global Select Market.

The company will trade under the symbol “TASK,” but details on the number of available shares, price range and timing aren’t yet available, according to the filing.

The plan outlines two types of common stocks: class A and B. The company’s co-founders Bryce Maddock and Jaspar Weir, along with affiliates of the Blackstone Group Inc., a New York-based investment management firm, will hold all Class B common stock.

They’ll also hold a majority of the voting power in the election of company’s directors.

TaskUs calls itself a “business processing outsourcer” that provides companies with tech services such as customer support, content security, consulting and artificial intelligence operations.
