ROYAL Caribbean has offered a first look at their adults-only beach resort that sits on a private island.

Hideaway Beach is described as a “beachfront paradise” in the Bahamas and is set to open in January 2024, along with the debut of Icon of the Seas.

It will open at the cruise company’s exclusive private island resort Perfect Day at CocoCay.

The new experience offers visitors a private beach and pools, dedicated spots for food and drinks, exclusive cabanas, live music and more.

The swim up Hideaway Bar will be accompanied by DJ mashups, while places like Slice of Paradise and Snack Shack will be serving pizzas and other snacks.

Anyone hoping to relax in private can do so at the exclusive infinity pool in one of The Hideout cabanas where they will get in-water loungers and a personal attendant.

Elsewhere on the island, guests can soak up sweeping views of the turquoise seas at the On the Rocks bar — which Royal Caribbean describe as “the best spot on Hideaway Beach”.

It is one of “five spirited spots” where craft drinks are served as well as refreshing cocktails like frozen margaritas and classic Mai Tais, while live musicians play “island grooves”.

The new beach is open for vacationers age 18 and older, for an entry fee.

Overall it has a private beach, two pools, 20 cabanas, seven open-air bars and places to get food.

Michael Bayley, president and CEO for Royal Caribbean International said everything on the island has been designed for adults who want to have a day to themselves.

He said: “Hideaway Beach is a completely new vibe and experience that vacationers are looking for on Perfect Day at CocoCay.

“Everything from its hidden location to the exclusive beach and pools to the private cabanas is designed for adults who want a day just for them.

“There are experiences for everyone on a Royal Caribbean vacation, and that’s at the heart of our private island and its popularity.

“Whether it’s thrill or chill, family time or time to celebrate, families and friends can create their ‘perfect’ vacation day without compromise.”

The new beach resort will be launched in January next year, along with Icon of the Seas, the biggest cruise ship ever built.

Royal Caribbean has spent £1.5billion on the vessel, which measures 1,198 feet and has 2,805 cabins, in a total of eight neighbourhoods – one of which will cost as much as £60,000 a week.

On board, it boasts the world’s largest water park at sea as well as the biggest swim-up bar.

It also features the world’s first suspended infinity pool at sea, with floating sun loungers and ocean views from eight storeys up.

For families there are seven other pools, a child-friendly aqua park, nine whirlpools, a mini-golf course, ice rink, arcade and 40 bars and restaurants, including a karaoke bar.

Its first seven-night route will begin from Miami on January 27 and explore Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis, sailing on to Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas and Perfect Day at CocoCay, Bahamas, where Hideaway Beach can be found, before returning to the U.S.
