Earlier in the day, the benchmark equity indices resumed their ascent after a day’s breather, buoyed by banking and financial stocks, as the November series derivative contracts expired amid largely positive cues from global markets.
After a volatile session, the 30-share BSE Sensex ended 431.64 points or 0.98 per cent higher at 44,259.74. Similarly, the broader NSE Nifty surged 128.60 points or 1 per cent to 12,987.

>> Smallcap World Fund Inc bought 23.65 lakh shares of Tube Investments of India at Rs 841 per share in a bulk deal on Thursday. On the other hand, HDFC MF- HDFC Small Cap Fund sold 23.50 lakh shares of the company at the same price.
>> Smallcap World Fund Inc sold 21.02 lakh shares of Greaves Cotton Ltd at Rs 75.27 per share on the NSE. It also sold 17.77 lakh shares of the company at Rs 74.45 per share.
>> Prayash Dealtrade bought 1.44 lakh shares of Pansari Developers at Rs 22.30 per share.
>> India Max Investment Fund sold 45,664 shares of Keynote Fin Services at Rs 113 per share.
>> Heshika Growth Fund sold 2.34 lakh shares of Paisalo Digital at Rs 381.63 per share. On the other hand, Antara India Evergreen Fund bought 2.34 lakh shares of the company at Rs 381.64.
