Microsoft’s  (MSFT) – Get Microsoft Corporation Report announcement that it is acquiring Activision  (ATVI) – Get Activision Blizzard, Inc. Report has caused a ripple effect across the gaming sphere, as the move could cause a run on big entertainment companies snapping up gaming studios. 

Microsoft paid $75 billion for Activision, representing a potential 50% upside from the company’s market cap.
